Updated my tool, now my scan tool doesn't work!

     I purchased the MD802 last year. I finally decided to update it today. After using the update tool, my scan tool no longer works! If I take the memory card out then plug in my scan tool, it just tells me to insert the memory card. I safely removed the memory card from the PC after updating it, and plugged it into my scan tool. I then connected it to the OBD2 port on my car, and the scan tool doesn't boot up at all, the screen stays black. I uninstalled all the updates that I did today, but that didn't work at all. 

    By the looks of it, the scanner itself is ok, but the memory card and the software isn't. Is there any way to reset it back to factory settings? If I throw in a new blank memory card, perform the update on that, and then throw that into the scan tool, would that work?

     format SD card and reinstall again everthing. good luck

    Autel PC Suit 6.34.03 reinstalled, SD card is formated O.K. Sysprog V5.01 is installed O.K.
    When I tried upgrade to V5.02 or V5.04 installation failed at 56%.

     I'm having the same problems as richi and the original poster. The linked suggestion did not work for me. I am running Update 6.37, but both the SystemProgr 5.02 and 5.04 fail at 56%. I've sent an e-mail to support@autel.com (the autel.us one bounced back) describing this issue and will report back. Did any of the other people get theirs to work again?

     In Windows explorer right click on the drive for the sd card. On one of the tabs you Will wind a button to search for bad sectors and repair. Try this. That was the reason mine was failing ages ago. Just a corrupted sd card. Try the update again after.
